The primary mission of the Source of Life for Children Foundation is to focus on the well-being of children. By working closely with local community groups, churches, families, and children themselves, we address the root causes of poverty that directly affect children, especially the most vulnerable. We believe that boys and girls should be healthy, educated for life, experience the love of God and their neighbours, be cared for, protected, and participate in their own development. We believe the best way to improve children’s lives is to invest in the communities where they live. Strengthening communities and families creates a safety net that empowers children to experience fullness of life. By partnering with families and local community groups, we build on the work they are already doing, ensuring they remain in control of their children’s futures. We maximize our reach by supporting those who already have a vested interest in their children’s futures. Our vision: “to empower young rural children to hope for a better future through education and a healthy environment.” We believe that the best way to fulfill this vision is with rigor and integrity that honours the communities we serve and our donors. We’re not only focused on individual children, but on all the surrounding conditions that impact children’s lives.

Empower women to succeed
Career training for girls and women
In many communities plagued by poverty, women have few opportunities to earn a living wage that can help them care for their families. For a woman or girl in a country like the Democratic Republic of Congo, Malawi, Benin, Kenya, Zambia or Tanzania a sewing machine can be the key to a better life! A gift of a sewing machine can help a single mother, orphaned teen, or widow feel the satisfaction of rewarding work and the dignity of providing for herself and her family. Sewing machines, combined with training programs, provide women and girls with the skills needed to create and sell clothing, accessories, or other sewing items, enabling them to become financially independent and support their families
By providing access to sewing machines and training, Source of Life Children Foundation helps to create sustainable income opportunities within communities, contributing to economic growth and reducing poverty. Additionally, our training programs in Africa empower women to open their own tailor shops (i.e., sewing businesses), inspiring the next generation. Funds from the Source of Life Children Foundation Australia enable women to mass-produce cloth sanitary pads, empowering girls to stay in school and pursue higher education. Our work in Africa highlights the transformative power of sewing machines in helping single mothers, orphaned teens, and widows gain economic independence and dignity.

By collaborating with community stakeholders, we aim to bring about structural change. Many of the problems and challenges in these communities are deeply rooted, and it takes time to address them constructively and achieve lasting change.

Providing community and environmental support: Source of Life Children Foundation aims to engage in economic and community development projects such as:
- Sewing training course (clothing, namely shirts, blouses, dresses, pants, skirts, Jackets, blankets, shoes and providing sewing machines).
- Livestock, farm and poultry projects.
- Carpentry training course.
- Masonry training course.
